Kent Reduction of Waste Network

The Kent Reduction of Waste Network (KROWN) is an umbrella body for all those concerned about waste issues in Kent. KROWN'’s primary aim is to achieve environmentally sustainable and safe solutions to the county’s waste crisis, based upon genuine public consultation and community involvement, in the spirit of Local Agenda 21 (LA21).

We hold bi-monthly meetings, and organise an annual conference with presentations from waste reduction practitioners. A quarterly newsletter, KROWN Jewels, keeps members informed of relevant news and forthcoming events. We have developed a constructive relationship with Kent County Council, and look to work with KCC on the implementation of community based waste reduction initiatives.

KROWN are members of, and act as regional representatives for, national organisations the Community Recycling Network and Community Composting Network. KROWN’s diverse membership includes community projects, campaigning organisations, district and parish councils, waste management companies, councillors, and committed individuals.

To join KROWN, and help shape the future of waste management in Kent, complete and return the membership form.
